TOA Indonesia Strengthens Disaster-Ready Schools Through CSR Program and Disaster Preparedness Education at SDN Pasauran 1 Banten

After launching a series of animated disaster preparedness education videos in collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Indonesia, TOA Indonesia has continued its commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness through practical implementation in schools.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, TOA Indonesia donated an Emergency Communication System to SDN Pasauran 1 in Serang Regency, Banten. This initiative was carried out through a collaboration between TOA Indonesia and FMIPA Universitas Indonesia, with support from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Serang Regency. The program aims to strengthen disaster preparedness in schools located in coastal areas that are more vulnerable to natural hazards.

In addition to the system installation, the program included disaster preparedness education sessions for students through interactive presentations and screenings of the animated educational videos previously developed with FMIPA Universitas Indonesia. The videos introduce essential disaster mitigation knowledge, covering fire safety, earthquake preparedness, and tsunami preparedness, using simple storytelling and child-friendly visual content to help students better understand how to respond during emergencies.

The CSR program at SDN Pasauran 1 marks the beginning of a broader initiative to expand disaster preparedness education to more schools, particularly those located in coastal and disaster-prone regions. Through cross-sector collaboration, TOA Indonesia remains committed to creating safer learning environments while fostering a stronger culture of preparedness from an early age. By combining education, emergency communication, and Early Warning System solutions, TOA Indonesia continues to support communities in building a safer and more resilient future.
