TOA Indonesia and Universitas Indonesia Collaborate to Launch Disaster Mitigation Educational Videos
Indonesia is one of the countries with a high risk of natural disasters, making disaster preparedness education an important aspect to introduce from an early age. Based on this need, TOA Indonesia and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Indonesia collaborated to create a more accessible and engaging disaster mitigation education approach for younger generations.
This collaboration was driven by the importance of delivering clear information during emergency situations, as well as the need to improve public understanding of proper response actions during disasters. Beyond technology, preparedness also requires educational approaches that are relevant, practical, and easy to understand in everyday life.
Through this initiative, TOA Indonesia and FMIPA Universitas Indonesia launched animated educational videos titled “What Should I Do?” covering basic response steps for fires, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Using simple and child-friendly visual storytelling, the videos are designed to help children recognize emergency situations and understand the actions they should take.
